Sea Salts and Epsom Salts

Sea Salts & Epsom Salts

Epsom Salts are named for the mineral rich waters of Epsom, England, where they were known at least as far back as Shakespeare’s day.

When bathing, the magnesium sulfate (Epsom Salts) is absorbed through the skin and is an inexpensive and natural way to reduce stress, treat skin problems, and draw toxins from the body.

Dead Sea salts contain a high concentration of salts and natural minerals. They are rich in magnesium, sodium, potassium, calcium and bromine. They are extremely saline and only come from the Dead Sea. Epsom salts contain a specific salt, magnesium sulfate, rather than different mineral compounds of salt. Epsom salt is also comprised of chloride and boron. It is a white, granular salt that can be chemically or synthetically made.

Dead Sea salts are one of the finest therapeutic salts. With regular use, Dead Sea salts can effectively manage and improve arthritis, dry skin, eczema and psoriasis. Absorbed through pores, it is beneficial in relieving muscle tension, aches and pains. Epsom salts replenish the level of magnesium in the body to relax the nervous system and relieve inflammation. Epsom salts expedite healing. Epsom salts naturally relax the nervous system, lower blood pressure and relieve inflammation relieve stress and treat minor sprains or bruises. Both can be used to exfoliate skin.

Epsom salts has been a long time remedy natural remedy for a number of ailments. An Epsom Salt bath is known to relieve aching limbs, muscle strain and back pain. In addition, it has been known to heal cuts, reduce soreness from childbirth and relieves colds and congestion.  Epsom Salt is a natural stress reliever too. Stress drains the body of magnesium. An Epsom Salt bath absorbs magnesium into our body thus helping to relieve stress. The magnesium helps to produce adequate amounts of serotonin, a mood-elevating chemical within the brain that creates a feeling of calm and relaxation.

Epsom salts can also be used as an all body exfoliate to remove dead skin cells and promote circulation, as a foot soaking agent to smooth, relax and refresh your feet and neutralize odors, and as a facial exfoliate.

Sea salt is a great purifier. It dissolves or dissipates negative energy. Sea salt is alkaline and therefore helps to de-acidify the body and raise the body’s pH levels. When soaking in a sea salt bath, the salt water penetrates the skin’s pores and enters into the bloodstream and thus enters the tissues and begins to remove accumulations of lactic acid.  This is why soaking in hot water and sea salt after a hard and strenuous workout is so soothing, relaxing, and energizing.  Lactic acid is what makes the body stiff and sea salt is counteractive against lactic acid.

When you add a cup of 3% hydrogen peroxide to the bath water, now you have oxygen and alkalinity which together help to eradicate all physical disease. Hydrogen peroxide breaks down into oxygen inside the body and this is a good thing when disease is present as oxygen and alkalinity together is not the ideal environment of disease and negative microorganism such as parasites and worms.

If you are suffering from a STD (sexually transmitted disease), you should perform the sea salt soak daily.

Other beneficial uses of sea salt include gargling with it for throat health and to help eradicate hoarseness; after a heated discussion or argument (infused with a lot of negative energy), place a bowl of sea salt in the middle of the room to neutralize the negative energy (you can also place a bowl of ice cubes in the room as well to help things “cool’ down a bit as a heat discussion or argument does in fact “heat” up the room as well as the persons); and for sick people, place a bowl of sea salt (or water with sea salt) under the bed of the sick person to dissolve their negative energy.
